Fab Fur

Beyonce's style is usually hit or miss with me, but how HOT does she look in this fur and leather leggings?

Christian Dior Denim Flow

(image from MTV)

We are HUGE Kanye West fans, and his new cd and recent 'Good Friday' tracks are ALL that I am listening to, and I'm sure that you guys have heard 'Christian Dior Denim Flow', the 'Good Friday' track in which he name-checks a whole host of models!

I'm in my Christian Dior with a Veronica Webb
Noemie Lenoir, Chanel, Sessilee Lopez
Arlenis Sosa, Selita Ebanks
If you work with my people, speak that Jourdan Dunn language
Make a phone call, out to Joan Smalls
I wonder how it feel to lower Stone's walls
Jessica Gomes, y'all, I would damage her
And see if
Jessica Stam got the stamina
I'm in the car with Leo and the Benz swerve
I heard Bar was friends with Esti Ginzburg
Coco Rocha, Kate Mimosa
Alessandra Ambrosio, Anja Rubik
Get Olga Kurylenko, tell her I'm very single
Abbey Lee, too — I'm a freak, boo
I'm wylin', I’m on a thousand
I wanna see Irina Shayk next to Doutzen

Here are some of our favorite looks from the Christian Dior S/S 2011 Show!

Lucky's 10th Anniversary Issue

Photobucket

Happy 10th Anniversary to Lucky Magazine! I actually remember when I saw one of my first issues of Lucky during my freshman year of high school!

This particular December 2010 issue (GEEZ, WHERE DID THE YEAR GO?!) is important because of two things: 1) new editor in chief Brandon Holley and 2) Lucky Mag recounts all the huge sartorial moments that have happened in the last 10 years.

So far some of the new changes (new formats are rumored to be implemented in the March 2011 issue) include the back page, which Andrea Linnett edited, (she has also left Lucky Magazine) and I noticed that the feature on coverstar Diane Kruger also had a different format (which I like!) Lucky Magazine has always been one of my favorites, but lately I found myself being disappointed in some of the editorials and the design, and while I love Texans like Kim France that made it big in the fashion magazine world, I'm sure that Brandon Holley will take Lucky into the next decade with a fresh fashion spin.

Houston Fashion Week : Day 1 & 2

It’s been almost a month and Houston is still basking in the afterglow of our inaugural fashion week, Fashion Houston, (October 11-14) at the Wortham Center. It has been our dream to see Houston be recognized as a major player in the fashion scene, and while it will take a while to be on par with other fashion weeks, we were proud to see our city take part in the glamour of hosting a fashion week!

Fashion Houston played host to local fashion favorites, like Chloe Dao, Elaine Turner, David Peck and Cesar Galindo, as well as some sartorial superstars in Lela Rose, Marc Bouwer and the first ever runway presentation of famed luxury e-commerce website, Net-A-Porter. With tickets for sale benefitting Houston Community College, front row scuffles for open seats were absent and overall, the events had a laid-back ambience with the libations flowing and the fashion fierce.

Day 1

Collections ranged from local fashion designer, Cesar Galindo to New York designer Lyn Devon and the eagerly awaited debut of Christian Siriano of Project Runway fame.

DAY 2

David Peck
Crop by David Peck was inspired by Ghana. The whole collection was very classy and wearable.
He paired the outfits with handbags by Elaine Tuner.

Lauren Pierce
Lauren Bush lauched a eco-friendly brand call Lauren Pierce Atelier.

Lela Rose
Lela Rosa one of my favorite designers. Her collected definitely didn't disappoint. Every piece was girly, bright, very classy. Loved them all!
