Houston Fashion Week : Day 1 & 2

It’s been almost a month and Houston is still basking in the afterglow of our inaugural fashion week, Fashion Houston, (October 11-14) at the Wortham Center. It has been our dream to see Houston be recognized as a major player in the fashion scene, and while it will take a while to be on par with other fashion weeks, we were proud to see our city take part in the glamour of hosting a fashion week!

Fashion Houston played host to local fashion favorites, like Chloe Dao, Elaine Turner, David Peck and Cesar Galindo, as well as some sartorial superstars in Lela Rose, Marc Bouwer and the first ever runway presentation of famed luxury e-commerce website, Net-A-Porter. With tickets for sale benefitting Houston Community College, front row scuffles for open seats were absent and overall, the events had a laid-back ambience with the libations flowing and the fashion fierce.

Day 1

Collections ranged from local fashion designer, Cesar Galindo to New York designer Lyn Devon and the eagerly awaited debut of Christian Siriano of Project Runway fame.

DAY 2

David Peck
Crop by David Peck was inspired by Ghana. The whole collection was very classy and wearable.
He paired the outfits with handbags by Elaine Tuner.

Lauren Pierce
Lauren Bush lauched a eco-friendly brand call Lauren Pierce Atelier.

Lela Rose
Lela Rosa one of my favorite designers. Her collected definitely didn't disappoint. Every piece was girly, bright, very classy. Loved them all!
